Serious Error

For the past few days, I have dialled up to the Internet to complete research for school. For the record, I have installed Norton Internet Security 2002. When the protection is activated and enabled, and I use MSN Explorer, my computer restarts without warning. When it reloads, I get an error message saying that the system has recovered from a serious error. Today, I disabled Norton Internet Security and this did not occur. Why is this happening? Please email me if you have some advice or a solution.

i have the sam problem as you. i haven´t been able to solve it thoug

this is what I wrote in the secutity and administartion forum

I have norton internet security 2002 and lately it has started to act strange. My firewall configurations (those who decide which programs that have access to internet and which that have not) are constantly updating itself, about one time every second. This causes my computer to run very slow and after a while run out of memory and then crash

what seems to be the problem? I´ve tried to reinstall, scan for viruses and I have checked symantecs webpage but I couldn´t solve the problem

If anybody have a clue, please hel

Open Control Panel - System - Advanced and click on the Settings
button in the Startup and Recovery (bottom) section.

In the Startup and Recovery window click on the checkbox for
"automatically restart" to clear it.

That should put an end to the reboots, but they may be replaced by
"Blue Screen Of Death" STOP errors. If this does happen then the
contents of the STOP error message will be a direct clue as to the
underlying cause of the problem.

Post the information from the STOP error message back here if you need
further advice or assistance in that regard.

Good luck
