Serial number of a date...

I have a query pulling out birthdays from a staff database using part dates
in serial number form. Currently the report is printing under each month (eg
'1', '2', '3') columns listing the date (eg 14(th), 23(rd), 25(th) etc), each
employees name and which office they are based in...

What I want to do is have the Birthday Month reading as the actual month
name rather than the serial number for that month (ie. 'January', 'February',
'March' instead of '1', '2', '3').

Can anyone help? It's driving me nuts! Any and all help greatly appreciated.

What's wrong with allowing/waiting for an answer to your same question in
the Reports News Group.

I thought both suggestions there should have worked. Please go back to that
thread and be patient. Maybe you should state what happened when you tried
the suggestions.

Well... I realised I was asking about it in a 'Report' list when I was
actually having the problem in a query... hence the repeated question... is
that OK?

that OK?

No harm done, but no, it would have been better to wait
and see if there was a response.

It's like when you are driving, and you are part way
through an intersection, and you realize you should
have turned left: You can spin the steering wheel
and cut across traffic to make the turn, or you wait
until you are through the intersection, and then find
the next left, or look for a U-turn opportunity.

You may want to just spin the wheel and make the turn,
but it does come at a cost to other people.

So it is your decision, but no, it would have been
better to wait and see if there was a response.

In addition to david's response, many of us read through several of the news
groups.
