Serial Mouse Driver

I have a DELL laptop, which has one PS/2 and one serial
port. I have a Microsoft PN X03-89944 wheel mouse. I
would like to install this mouse on the laptop using a
PS/2 to Serial adaptor connected to the serial port. I do
not have the hardware driver for the mouse in this
configuration.

Is there a serial software driver of the mouse in this
configuration?

You shouldn't need a special driver. But...not all mice are compatible with
all versions of those adapters. Why not use it on the ps2 port?
