Serial ATA drive prob

Hey, im having a bit of a problem with a new drive i
bought. Its a Seagate 160gb 7200rpm 8mb SATA, and for
some unknown reason my pc just wont see it. Ive updated
everything i can think of, motherboard ( asus A7N8X
Deluxe nForce2 )my bios, ive fiddled with more things
than a politician. So could anyone think of anythin?

Copy all files in the root of the folder to a new floppy, with the exception
of the PDF file and the GUI folder, since both are too large for a floppy.
Boot from the Windows XP CD.
Press F6
Choose the drivers from A:
Complete the Windows XP installation.
Set the first boot device as SCSI.
