Separate Records Merging

I am working with a report where records with the same last name are merging
onto the same page despite having unique first names.
How can I get the report to acknowledge the unique first name?

Check your sorting and grouping settings (View--Sorting and Grouping). Sounds
like you have first and last name in separate columns and are grouping on
lastname only. You may need to change your datasource (a query?) to combine
the first and last names into a single new column and to use that combined
column in your sorting and grouping definition.
