Separate Mail Profiles for MS Outlook 2000 on WinXP?

Using Win98 I was able to establish a number of separate
Mail "Profiles" ("Mail" item on the Control Panel). This
was useful for keeping different Calendars and also for
different ISP e-mail addresses; upon firing up Outlook one
was always asked to select a Profile for that session.

Having just gone over to a new PC running on WinXP but
using the same version of MS Outlook, I noted before
setting up the mail system that I still had this "Multiple
Profiles" option (on the "Mail" item on the Control
Panel), and therefore created three of them.

After firing up Outlook for the first time I discovered
that all three had been merged into one, and upon closing
Outlook and checking the Control Panel "Mail" option, the
ability to create separate Profiles had disappeared, all
of the three individual e-mail Proflies etc. now being
listed in one group.

I appreciate that I can create different User ID Accounts
in XP, and this will enable me to effectively have
separate Mail Profiles again. However, can the "old"
option to have separate Mail Profiles in the same User ID
Account be somehow re-activated?
 
If you had the profiles option before, you must have had Outlook 2000
configured in Corporate/Workgroup mode. Check Help | About Microsoft
Outlook -- does the second line now say "Corporate/Workgroup" or does it say
"Internet Mail Only"?

It is showing as "Internet Mail Only" with "Security
Update" afterwards; I am on Office 2000 SP3".
