Sentinel integrity file checker.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++=
Audits your system folder (as well as upto 20 other folders) for the
slightest file changes and/or additions. If any files fail the integrity
check, your anti-virus/trojan program will be notified more

Registry Watcher
The RegWatch portion of Sentinel will warn your anti-virus program of
programs that are trying to start up using the Registry (Sentinel covers
all the bases here - even the "not known" startup methods by popular
trojan horse viruses such as Sub7 and the newer Beagle worm). more

Secure Shut Down
Shut Down your computer with confidence that no viruses or trojans will
attempt to corrupt your system. This feature will automatically perform
an Integrity Check and a Registry audit - all files that have been
changed or modified will be scanned by your anti-virus scanner.
more

Automatic Logging
Logs every file that Sentinel sends over to your anti-virus scanner;
every log can be re-scanned with ease
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
You can choose between different hash algos among crc, md4,md5 and SHA1.

By default it checks dll,drv,exe,com,sys,ocx,exe etc files as well as
folders like c:\windows\system32\. It's customsiable so you can add new
folders to check.

If there is a change, you can set it to be scanned by your antivirus.

You can set it to check on system start, on system shutdown, or on demand

Does it work in W98SE? I looked on the site and don't see Requirements.

Beats me. On one hand security type programs tends to be OS specific , in
these days it means 2k/XP. On the other hand I see no specific reason why
an intergrity checker need to be NT/2k/xp specific and this one appears
to date to at least 2002 and is probably older.

Finally In the support forums, a rep talks about modifying installer to
take into account different system configurations, so it might work for
win98, unless by that he meant differences between 2k/xp.

If you are really interested in trying just post in the forum a question

This looks like good news. I have version 1.1 but it does not work properly
on XP. I tried to update it but found that it had become payware. Nice to
know that it has now reverted to being freeware. I'm downloading it now.
