-- Ok I was a little dumb but I sent a bunch of pictures to a friend and It
takes so long to send that an error pop's up and it never goes out. I have
dsl so it is a fairly fast connection. Now when I want to send a different
message that one is still in the queue and try to go out. My question is how
do I get rid of that message?
Thank you
Brian S.

And your Mail Client is...?

It would be a good start if you said what email program. What about
deleting it from whatever mail box it's sitting it waiting to be sent out?

Sorry, my bad! I am using outlook express 6.0
The problem It doesn't show in the out box intill it is gone

Compact all folders (http://www.insideoe.com/files/maintain.htm#compact) and
see if the problem persists. If it does:

1. Move anything in Deleted Items and Sent Items folders that you want to
keep to another user-created local OE folder.

2. Tools > Options > Maintenance > Store folder will reveal the location of
your current Identity's store
(http://www.insideoe.com/files/store.htm#storemain). Write it down.

In WinXP, Win2K and Win2K03, the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default
marked as hidden. To view these files in Explorer, you must enable Show
Hidden Files and Folders under Start > Control Panel > Folder Options >
View.

3. Close OE.

4. Open Windows Explorer to your store (#2), find and delete Sent Items.dbx,
Deleted Items.dbx, and Outbox.dbx.

General OE Caveats:

- Don't use Inbox or Sent Items to archive messages. Move them to local
folders created for this purpose.

- Empty Deleted Items folder daily.

- Disable Background Compacting [not available in SP2] and frequently
perform a manual compact of all OE folders while "working offline". More at
http://www.insideoe.com/files/maintain.htm

- WinXP SP2 only: Do not shut down your machine while Windows is
automatically compacting your message store.

- Your anti-virus application's email scanning feature can also cause such
corruption. Disable it. It provides no additional protection.
