I have an IMAP account and when I send items using Outlook, they do not
show up synchronized. If I use Entourage or other IMAP clients the sent
items show up in outlook but not when I sen them from Outlook.
They itema show up in my Outlook Today Folder, under Sent Items, but
not under the folder created for this account.
One clue: this used to be a POP3 account. Is it possible that Outlook
still think it is a POP3 account?
Anny clues?
Thanks

Mine does the same! I have a rule for AFTER sent, to move to the SENT folder
of the IMAP account...

An IMAP message store cannot be the delivery location in Outlook. Thus,
Outlook Today will always be distinct from your IMAP store, which is kept on
your IMAP server, not in Outlook (except as a cache). Since Outlook's
automatic actions are directed at the delivery location only, Outlook will
not put anything in the IMAP Sent Items folder unless you create a rule to
do so. Turn off the option in Outlook to save a copy of sent items in the
Sent Items folder and create a rule that will copy any sent item to a
specific folder, using the IMAP Set Items folder as that specific folder.

Thanks for your help Brian,
That exlains half my problem. The other half is that emails I send
don't go to the IMAP storage either, they don't show up on my other
clients. If I email from other clients, set to IMAP, they will show up
on Outlook in the Inbox->Sent folder. but if I send from Outlook they
vanish. It's as if Oulook thinks it's sending them the way Iused to
when I used POP3.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Benny
