My emails do not make it to the Sent Items folder in Windows Mail. Has
anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know how to fix the problem?

Do you have it configured to do so?
Tools, Options, Send, "Save copy..."

If already configured, make sure you're not running one of the
non-compatible antivirus programs, like McAfee or Norton.

Thank you for this answer. I didn't think about those "options". Still don't
know why mine changed. Oh well, at least you got me on track again.

my sent messages are being noted in the " outbox " instead of sent items. how
do you fix this

They go to to Outbox while they are being sent, then to Sent Items.

Download and install this fix for many Windows Mail problems, with
Windows Mail not running:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090

Although it's labelled as for mail stuck in the Outbox, it also works in
other folders. If you don't know whether to use the 32-bit version or
the 64-bit version, try the 32-bit version first.

If you have certain common antivirus programs, such as most of those
from Norton or McAfee, or a recent one from Trend, such problems
are likely to come back, although not immediately, so be prepared to
try the same fix again.

Bob,

Go into Tools-Options-Send then click in box for "Save Copy to Send Items
Folder"
