occassionally, sent email just disappears. That is, it
never arrives at it's destination. Yet neither does it
bounce back as undeliverable. We have one user who has
tried sending email to someone but simply cannot. It just
doesn't get there. Yet when the same email is sent from
hotmail or roadrunner, it does! Then on Friday, one of our
users needed to send several attachments to a client but
they just wouldn't get there. I found I could not even
forward this email to myself at roadrunner! So I zipped
each attachment separately, minus the text from the
original message, and was able to receive, from my
roadrunner acct, the zipped .pdfs but not the zipped .doc.
No bounces, nothing to indicate that the mail was not
delivered and no return receipt to say that it was. I am
able to send the .doc unzipped inside the firewall but not
to addresses outside it. It is only this one .doc
attachment that seems to have issues. The .pdfs eventually
could be sent as zips but the .doc could not! These are
rare isolated incidences but frustrating none the less.
Any help anyone?
