I have noticed in XP unlike 98 that when I send a file to a location with
the right click sendto it copies the file. Is there a way to just move the
file?

Use Windows Explorer and the "drag&drop" featur
Start/All Programs/Accessories/Windows Explore
Just click on the file in the right column/hold the mouse button dow
and drag it to whatever folder in the left column and release mouse button.

That is the whole point I don't want to go to extra steps like open
explorer, etc. It is much easier and faster to right click and sendto. I
don't know why XP changed the sendto, in 98 it would move the file unless
you held the control key while sending then it would copy.

Download the Windows 95 Powertoys at the following website.

Windows 95 Power Toys Set:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows95/downloads/contents/WUToys/W95PwrToysSet/Default.asp

Double click the exe file to extract the files. Right click the Sendtox.inf
file and select Install from the pop up menu. This will add a Send To Any
Folder option to the right click menu with the option to move or copy the
file.

You can also add a Move To option to your right click menu with a registry
change. Open Notepad and copy/paste the text between the lines and save the
file as moveto.reg. Double click the file to merge into the registry.
