Hi,

I used to send pictures by just clicking on them and my PC (Vista Ultimate
64) would automatically open Windows Mail.
I had to completely install Vista (formatting drive C) again and got
everything up and running again (incl. Windows Mail).
As soon as I want to send a picture in a reduced size and when clicking on
it I get the normal question regarding the size I prefer and then a window
opens where it says "Choose Profile" - and the only profile name I can choose
is Outlook. I DO NOT want to use Outlook - I want to use Windows Mail.
Any help and idea how I can work around this?!?

Many thanks in advance.
Best

Open the Default Programs applet, which you can access either from
the Start menu or via the Control Panel, then click the first item:
"Set your default programs."
After a few seconds, a list of programs comes up. Click on "Windows
Mail". If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its defaults"
then fix it by clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow.

Every time Outlook gets an update it gets set as default mail program.

Outlook 2003 is incorrectly configured as the default mail client every time
that you perform an Office installation or Office update that modifies

Thank you so very much to all of you!
All 3 replies helped me a lot and I'm back in business now. Everything is up
and running as it was before and I'm a "happy camper".
Again many thanks and
You all have a great weekend!
