Sending pictures as attached files are too large to view

When I send a .jpg picture of about 2 meg file size, the recipients complain
the picture is too large to view, they have to keep scrolling and scrolling
to see the image. It is certainly too large to print. My daughter tells me
they attachment has been converted to .gif picture. She gets around the
issue by saving the file to her computer and then opening it.

Additionally, what is the filesize limit of attachments to an outlook message?

One way to send your pictures so that they are viewable after you send them
is to right click on the picture or pictures you want to send and select
Send To->Mail Recipient. If you have a Windows XP then you should get a
window that says "Send Pictures via E-mail" and gives you the option to
"Make all my pictures smaller" or "Keep the original sizes". If you select
the first option and click OK then you should be able to view the pictures
without any problems after they are sent. About your other question I am
unaware of a filesize limit of attachments with Outlook but your ISP/e-mail
server will ussually have attachment size limits. If you use the steps I
listed above to attach the pictures to an e-mail it will also reduce the
file size of large pictures. I was able to reduce a 3.33MB picture to 47KB
using these steps.

I hope this information is helpful.
