Sending pic. attachments

I have always been able to go to my ppictures folder & click a photo & click
on send picture by e-mail or something to this effect. Now when I go to send
a pic. attachment it gets as far as re0-sizing the pic. & does nothing else.
I have never had this problem before can anyone help? It seems they changed
the forum layout & hope I'm at the right place.
