In 2002 when I send large attachments they never disappear from my Outbox.
Because of that they keep getting send over and over again. Any ideas as to
what is going on?

Define large. Are you allowed to snd messages that big by your ISP?

A typical symptom of a server timeout value set too low. Increase it in
your account properties pages (the Advanced tab, I believe).

Disabling virus scanning for outbound messages can often solve this. But I
am having a similar problem even after disabling outbound scanning. Messages
with even moderately large attachments (300K+) get stuck in the Outbox until
the user does send/receive repeatedly. Sometimes it helps to move a message
from the Outbox back to Drafts and then send it again. The problem occurred
after installing XP SP2 and Norton Internet Security 2005. (They were
installed simultaneously, so we can't tell which is responsible.)
