Sending from specific internet accounts in OLK2K

Hi there,

I'm using 2 internet e-mail accounts in Outlook 2K. In Outlook Express, if you need to send exclusively from one of the accounts, you simply use the 'From' field. A list box allows you to choose which account to use.

However, in Outlook 2K, the method has a different affect. First of all, the list of addresses comes from the Contacts list, and when the e-mail is released, it is sent from the 1st e-mail account 'on behalf of' the one I have chosen.

How can I choose which internet e-mail account it comes from without sending on behalf of the other account?

Many thanks in advance...

Thanks Oliver.

Using "Reconfigure Mail Support" within Tools-Options and setting to Internet e-mail mode done the trick nicely. That's great for me since I don't need to access any Exchange or other collaboration servers.

Another tip just in case anyone else spots this is to customise the icons in the toolbar for New Mail. Swap out the 'Send' icon with the 'Send using...' button. This enables you to choose which outbound account to use every time. You can choose the default account within Tools-Accounts inside the Outlook application, click the preferred account and then 'Set as Default'.

Hope this extra info helps...

Chester.

With Outlook 2000 this is only possible in the IMO (Internet Mail Only) not
in the CW (Corporate Workgroup Mode).

The different between this mode and how to check which mode you are using:
