Probably because you haven't set up your email account under Windows Mail correctly. http://netservices.verizon.net/portal/link/help/selection But it could also be due to interference from an antivirus program. Which if any such programs do you have? What happens if you try to either delete the oldest message in your Outbox or move it to the Drafts folder?
