Recently e-mail messages I have been sending from my
hotmail account in Outlook Express have been arriving very
late in regards of time of delivery. Does any one no what
the problem might be. Thank you.
Sharon,
The problem IS with OE and Hotmail.
If you look at the Example Header below of one of my tests, you can
see that the message was recevied immediately by
"bay15-dav10.bay15.hotmail.com with DAV" and then nothing happened for
16 hours until the message was "Received: from mail pickup service by
hotmail.com with Microsoft SMTPSVC". From there it quickly moved on.
I have been conversing with other people who are having the exact same
problem. We can't find a patter. Hotmail receives fine and generally
works fine when using the web interface.
The help people have been of no help. Two of my messages have not
been answered. The last one took them 1 week to answer. The first
time my question was answered there was a sentence about it being an
internal delay because messages were being queued. Since then they
have been denying the problem (with no reference to an internal
queue).
