Hi. I've got a very short clip (avi 42mb) I took on my camera which is now
on my pc
It's taking a very long time to send by email. I was wondering if there's
another way like is there a format I have to convert it to like mp3 for
audio?
Thank

If you have software capable of converting AVI to DivX that
would lower the file size. However, if you're using Broadband
be aware the upload speeds are significantly slower than down
stream. You are faced with an extreme upload time, no matter
what file format you are working with. Most ISPs have a "Cap"
on maximum size file attachments and you may be unable to use
a attachment of the size you are working with.

Below is the home page for DivX info:

Hi,

There are a myriad of sites that will let you upload the .avi file and then
send a link via email to anyone you want to share it with. Google on "upload
share file" to get a few thousands returns.

You can convert it to the WMV format using a 3rd party utility. The final size
will be approximately 10-15% of the original and can be played using
applications like Windows Media Player and WinAmp.

Here's a link to an excellent freeware utility:

You can use the Movie maker program, included in Windows XP, to convert the file to the .wmv format. This will lower the file size significantly.

THANKS!!
movie maker was perfect, only took 2 seconds
