How can I change the access file extension from .mdb to .bak to let me send
my database using Outlook?

Am I missing something obvious but obviously not mentioned, like saving the
file from Access, renaming its extension, and then e-mailing the file?

Hi Vanguard, How would I do that. When I try to rename the database all I
seem to do is add .bak to the file name. How do I rename the extension?
thanks for your help. nessy

Dear Vanguard, I think I've solved my problem. My system wasn't set up to
show the complete file extension in Windows Explorer. I've changed it now and
have saved and sent my database. Thanks for getting me thinking. Have a nice
day. Nessy

That should be sufficient.
How do I rename the extension?

Right-click the file and choose Rename or just click twice on the file name
below its icon.
