Sending a meeting request w/read receipt turned on

Whenever a meeting request is sent to user1, the request is received by
user1. The strange thing is that the sender also receives a non-deliverable
email indicating that user2 was sent the message. User2 is no longer with
the company. This has been going on with Outlook 2000 and Outlook 2003. I
suspect that the issue may be on the Exchange side. Any idea how to get rid
of user2 as part of the meeting request. It doesn't seem to happen when
sending a regular Email to user1.

Thanks In Advance

You can use the mdbvu32.exe Exchange Resource Kit Tool to remove not
properly removed rules and delegations.

Thanks. I will try it on the client workstation and see if I can get the
rule removed.

Most often users who have been deleted from AD won't show up there anymore
either but it's worth a check.

Roady,

I am using KB320022 on How to Use the Mdbvu32 Utility to Remove Inbox Rules.
I am at the following step and can't seem to find it.

In the MAPI_Folder-Root dialog box, double-click Top of Information Store in
the Child Folders list.

There is no "Top of Information Store" in the Child Folders list.

I do have the following:
Common Views
Finders
Shortcuts
Views
IPM_SUBTREE
~MAPISP(Internal)
Drizzle
SPAM Search Folder 2

Any ideas? Thanks for your continue support and guide on this matter.

It's in the MDB menu.

Robert,

Thanks for your help. I did the following and it seems to have fixed the
problem.

I used the MFCMapi.exe instead of Mdbvu32 utility. The MFCMAPI seems to be
more user friendly.
http://support.microsoftcom/kb/924297

I was getting errors when attempting to open the rules.
I proceeded to run outlook.exe /cleanserverrules and this may have solved
the problem as senders are no longer getting NDRs on user2.

Good to hear and you're welcome! :-)
