When management changed our internet access to a network usage, the send to
CD option disappeared from my computer, as well as when the file was created
a popup showed up on my task bar saying I had files ready to burn to cd. Now
the pop up doesn't show up and I have to manually go to the file deep under
my documents and settings folder called /cdburner. I do two backup weekly
for my accounting software and before the backup file went to the folder
called /cdburner. Now it still goes there but when I select the file under
the send to option it no longer has the option of sending the file to cd.
Does anyone know what they did or how I can fix it. The Mgr said they didn't
do anything to that option specifically but when they made changes that's
when this took place. Any suggestios?????? anyone?????

Thanks

Go to C:\Documents and Settings/user-name/Send To. (If you can't see it open
a folder and select Tools/Folder Options and under View check your settings
so you can see hidden files) You can uncheck the properties for the Send To
folder that make it hidden and read only. Make a shortcut from your CD icon
in My Computer (right click/Create shortcut) and put it in your Send To
folder. Logically that should work, but no surprise if it doesn't.

Recording has to be enabled on the CD drive in order for CD Drive to appear
in the SendTo menu.

Open My Computer, right click the CD Drive icon and then click Properties.
Click the Recording tab.
Check: Enable CD recording on this drive
Click: Apply
Click: OK
