To" fuction in MS word 2003. It appears greayed out in
Word and Excell but works fine in Powerpoint. This is a
complete intall of Office 2003 on XP Pro and using Lotus
Notes 6.5 as a mail client

Thanks in advance for any comments or info

Are we talking about Send To on the File menu in Word or the Send To item
you get on the shortcut menu when you right-click a filename in the Open or
Save As dialog?

the Send To item ups
to the newsgroup so is
.

I don't believe you can add to the File | Send To menu--at least not by
adding a shortcut to the Windows Send To folder. You'd have to customize the
menu using Tools | Customize.

The Icon is there but it is greyed out. That is the
problem. It does work fine in Powerpoint that seems a
little strange since the suite was installed together.

I assume you have a document open? This would doubtless be one of the Word
features that is not available unless you have a document open. Have you
tried dragging the command off the menu and restoring it from Tools |
Customize? I think you'd have to add each of the submenu items individually,
so it would be a big job; you might try doing that before deleting the
(nonfunctioning) one that's there.
