I am using Micosoft Outlook 2002 and have a POP3 account setup. While
setting it up, I tried the "Test Account Settings" and it failed in
the fifth step to "Send Test E-Mail Message". It does not give any
Error number, just says, "Unable to send test Message. Please verify
the Email Address field".
Despite the error message, I am able to receive and send mails most of
the time. However, sometimes I am only able to receive and not send.
Whenever this happens, I am able to send through Outlook Express which
I have set up with the same settings.
I have tried reinstalling Outlook 2002 but the problem remains. The
error message in sending test mail is always there, and the actual
sending of mails does not work all the time. I am sure there is no
problem with my account as Outlook Express is always working.
Is there some patch for Outlook 2002 that I need to install ?
