Send/Receive trouble

Error Message: Task 'mail.xxxxxx.com - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x80042108) : 'Outlook is unable to connect to your incoming (POP3) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
Task '(e-mail address removed) - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x80042108) : 'Outlook is unable to connect to your incoming (POP3) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

Comcast, my isp., doesn't support Outlook. Help.
 
Has your account ever worked? If so, have you recently installed any
anti-virus or firewall software? If misconfigured, these can cause this
problem.
