send receive problem with proxy

i have two laptop.i installed windows xp home edition.i use proxy server prg.
for lan and internet,but i do not update antivirus software and outlook
express mail send/receive. Please guide this problem
 
The proxy is for internet(web) access (usually), which does include
the mail functions, which should work directly.
