Send/Receive Email

When I first installed MS Office, and used Outlook I noticed that when I
started the program it would automatically check for new messages. However,
after re-installing Office due to a hard drive crash I now have to click on
the "Send/Receive" button to get new mail. Does anyone know how to correct
this?

Outlook will check for mail on startup as long as you have defined an
automatic send/receive interval (Tools>Options>Mail Setup>Send/Receive).
