Odd problem here with several users. When sending an attachment, or
sometimes even when sending a regular email message, the user goes to press
the Send button but nothing happens. The user can press the button 100 times
with no effect. Most often if the user reboots, the issue resolves, but I
find that an unaccepatable process.

System: Exchange 5.5 sp4, OL2002 sp2, Winxp SP1

Any help regarding this would be great.

Reset the Toolbar; all Toolbar customizations will be lost and the Toolbar
will reset to what it looked like when you first installed Outlook. To do
this locate outcmd.dat and rename it to outcmd.old when Outlook is closed.
By default you can find it here;
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

CTRL+ENTER will send as well

Tips of the month:
-What do the Outlook Icons Mean?
-Create an Office 2003 CD slipstreamed with Service Pack 1

No dice with that solution. Rename of the Outcmd.dat did not resolve the
issue. Upon further testing, the issue is reproducable as follows:

1. Create email and send attachment. The first time the email will go
through.

2. Create another email, insert attachment, and then the process fails. The
Send button does not respond, but the machine will check for the proper name
in the send to address. Pressing CTRL+ENTER does not send the email either.

I'm really stumped on this one. It happends to several users.

Do you have a virusscanner installed on the machine that scans outgoing
mail? Disable it and see if it still happen.
