send and receive dialog box hide/unhide

When using Outlook 2000, as dialog box pops up with the send and receive
status of each e-mail account as it progresses. The is a box to "always"
hide and see the information on the status bar. But once I do this, I can't
find a way back to getting the dialog box instead. Suggestions?
