Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, jags asked:

Got the same problem, after downgrading from 2003 to xp (trial expired),
outlook send/receive button is giving operation failed.
Although through tools- send/receive I can get my email working one by
one.....but have 10 accounts, somebody an answer???

I am getting the same error message as you it least someone else is getting
it as well but it dose not help in sorting it out can anyone help.
