Selectively downloading mail with Outlook 2003

I have a half dozen e-mail accounts for my small business. I'd like to
have Outlook download a few of the addresses every few minutes when
outlook is running. However, the remaining accounts, I'd like to only
download the mail when I exclicitly tell it to.

The situation is that my MS Access DB automatically reads certain
formated email to certain accounts and writes a response and send it
back through email. These are the accounts that I want to download
mail from the server every few minutes. But the other accounts, I only
want to download when I'm going to read me email. This is because
there are times I want to read it remotely from the server and can't if
it's getting downloaded.

I know I can tell outlook to leave a copy on the server so I can read
it in both places, but I'd rather not go through the hassle of deleting
my email off the server periodically.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Rich

Edit your Send/Receive group (Tools>Options>Mail Setup>Send/Receive, select
the group, click Edit) to remove from the group those accounts you don't
want to receive automatically. Then, for this group, define an automatic
send/receive interval. Create another group and include in it those
accounts yuo want to receive manually. Don't define a send/receive interval
for this group. The first will receive on schedule, the second when you
click Tools>Send/Receive>that group.
