Has anyone got MS Word 2002 Selection Bar feature to work?
It is suppose to allow me to point to the Selection Bar to the far left and
select a line or paragraph or entire document. Unable to get function to
work.

I've never heard of the Selection Bar. Perhaps this is some sort of add-in?

You know what it is - I suspect you haven't heard the term before. :-)

It's the area to the left of the document when your mouse pointer
changes to an arrow and each click will select various portions of
text.

You know, click once to select a line, double-click to select a
paragraph, triple-click (or Ctrl + click) to select the document, drag
to select multiple lines, etc.

Prior to Word 2002 you could use the "What's This?" pointer and click
in this area and it would tell you it was the "Selection bar".

The Selection bar isn't something that is actually labeled on the
screen. It's the area to the left of your text. Make sure you place
your mouse pointer to the left, outside the text, watch for the
pointer to change to an arrow, and then try the various selection
methods.

Well, that's the only thing I could think of that might go by that name, but
the name threw me. BTW, is there any workaround for how difficult it is to
get the mouse into it to the left of tables in Normal view?

The only way I know is to drag the Indent Marker to the left until the
screen scrolls and then click Undo to undo the negative indent.

Then to reset the screen scroll to the right and then back to the left
again.

Actually, you don't have to change the indent to do this. If you press Shift
while clicking on the left arrow on the horizontal scroll bar, Word will
give you about half an inch outside the left margin on the ruler.
