I am unable to select word as my email editor. In tools, options, mail format it will not let me select word. Any ideas?

Are Outlook and Word the same version?

Tips of the month:
-Backup and Restore
-Create an Office XP CD slipstreamed with Service Pack 3

If Word is grayed out, it is most likely because you are running Outlook
2003 w/o Office 2003.

Yes, I got a new version of outlook(2002) with my PDA and am running Office 2000.
I guess there is no other option but to go back to my old version of outlook?

Then it won't work; Outlook and Word need to be the same version for this.

If you feel that you absolutely have to use Word as your email editor, yes,
unless you want to buy Office/Word 2002.
