How do I select multiple text in MS word that are not next to each other. For example I want to select different words throughout the document to change the font. Something this simple must be possible, can somone help?

Select your first word, hold the CTRL key, then select another word; repeat.

Or, if there are certain repeating words, you can use Find and Replace to
find the word, and replace it with itself only formatted in italic. Click
on More, then Format... In the F&R dialog to do this.

Bill, Thanks for the reply. I tried selecting the first word and holding CTRL key, but as soon as I try to select the next word, the first word becomes no longer selected. I forgot to mention I am using Ms word in the Italian language, but I have found most commands remain the same regardless of the language. Could there be some text selection configuration that needs to be set differently?

Thanks Dayo for your suggestion - I hadn't thought about doing it that way, and will keep it in mind. Unfortunately, I have lots of different words.

Not sure why it isn't working. Try this:

Double-click a desired word to select, hold the CTRL key, double-click
another word, continue double-clicking on words while the CTRL key is
depressed. Should keep selecting as many words as you want to select. If
not, you got me???
