Selecting Multiple records?

I have a continuous form, looks like a datasheet but constructed from
individual fields. Record Selectors are turned on.

I can select one record, but not multiple records. Is there some way
to turn on multiple record selection ?

I should have been clearer - "is there some way to select multiple
records and delete them all in one operation ?"

I can select contiguous records with the a shift-select but when I
delete the record it only does the first selected record. Also, can I
allow selections of non-contiguous records with the crtl key (vs.
contiguous with the shift key) ?
