select distinct

help with this sql

select distinct in [email1] field in database river school

and also if I want to use the criteria row in design query for this, how
would it be entered
 
Open an Access database. Select HELP. Search for "Select".

The syntax you'll need is in there, perhaps even as examples.

Or you could create a query in design view and simply pull the table in,
select the fields, and change the Unique Values property to Yes.
