SEEKING FILE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

Trying to transfer files (ms explorer file mgr)from a hd that has bad
sector to a good one but when coming to a bad files the transfer
stops. I need something that will keep going and egnor the bad files,
any thing out there?

Just to get you out of a pinch, I know a Shareware program that does this.
Second Copy 2000. www.centered.com

Awesome program. Install it, use for 30 days or less, uninstall. It's very
clean and green.

It will copy files, and skip over errors and leave a log. That log could be
pretty valuable.

Start > Programs > MS-DOS Prompt or Command Prompt in XP .
Copy a command from the selection below & click paste in MS-DOS or
Command Prompt , then click Enter .
No need to close any programs down .

1st command , you get a copy of everything .

Adjust drive letters to suit .

1 . XXCOPY C:\ D:\ /CLONE

Unstoppable Copier. Less than 50 KB d/l, about 80KB unzipped, no install.

Ummm...maybe not, been a while since I used it. It is a great program but
I'm not sure it will automatically skip a bad file after repeatedly trying
as it has a "Skip" button. Worth trying to see though...
