seeing number of messages received

Hi,

I have a POP email account. How can I see the number
of messages received with Outlook XP when I hit
Send/Receive? I don't want to see it in dialog box. I
want to see in the status bar - there only a percentage
complete is displayed but I'd like to see the number.

I need answer to same question please... trying to view # of messages as being received. What was answer and please send directly to me at (e-mail address removed). as Im not sure how to read replys in this forum otherwise i probably could have read the answer to your question. thank you
