Security tab when doing properties

I have found that Wordperfect files do not have a security
tab when I right click them and select properties. This
is very odd. The volume is NTFS. I did CACLS and the
file has permissions. Has anyone heard of this before?

Do other files and folders on the drive show the security tab? Are you running XP Home or Pro?

Yes other file have the security tab. It's really
strange. Even files in the same directory. It is XP
pro.

I've never heard of this behavior before, Kyle. You may want to check WordPerfect's support site for information on this.

Hi Kyle,

I'n not sure what is causing this. I have not encountered this symptom.
Here are some things to look at:

1) Determine if the symptom shows up with newly created files VS existing
files (which may have been copied to the current location).

2) See what happens if you create a new folder and copy one or more of the
files in question to the new folder.

3) See what happens if you explicitly take ownership of the file(s).
