security tab not found on folder properties

I have windows xp home edition and i would like to be able to use the
security tab feature in normal modeBut I am unable to achive this. I have
tried clicking on folder options then the view tab and then i cleared the
display simple folder view in explorer's folder list. This did not work. The
only tabs that appear are general,sharing and customize. can anyone tell me
what I need to do? Is this only a feature available in safe mode? It does
work in safe mode but not normal. thank you for any info you can give.

Hi

Yes, for WinXP Home (but not Pro) you need to be in safe mode to
access the security tab.
