Security setting and Child Objects

By mistake, I clicked "Apply to Child Objects" option when I changed the
security setting of Full Access to a Limited Account Folder. When I opened
the account, I found it looked Classic Windows, and Custom setting, such as
wallpapers, cannot be stored.
If I set the account to an administrator account, then the appearance backed
to normal. I suspect the option I clicked caused the problem. System Restore
doesn't work at all.
Anybody help!

The proper action here would depend on where the folder is - if it's in a
userprofile (which sounds likely from your description) then take ownership
of the folder and subfolders/files in the name of the profile-owner, whilst
that user still has Admin rights. That should resolve the problem as the
Creator/Owner normally has Full access. (Unless of course you've removed that
permission, it which case you need to reinstate it.)

In other locations, you may need to add a permission of "Authenticated
Users" who should have read/write/change permissions. Don't give them Full
permissions unless you want them to be able to modify the permissions
themselves, which you probably don't want.
