Help! I have Windows XP Professional installed on my PC. I
was a member of the Admin group, with "Full Control"
permissions and security rights on my hard drive. At the
Windows log on screen, a message just came up which
says "The security log on this system is full. Only
administrators can log on to fix the problem."
The User name: Administrator and the password I had
assigned it, has been disabled. I had only "Guest" and my
own name as a second computer administrator, but this has
been somehow deleted or has changed. I would never have
deleted myself on my own accord knowing not to remove
yourself as Admin. unless there is another designated
member of this group to do it, and it is permanent.
Lastly, The "Turn Off Computer" at the lower left of my
log on screen changes whenever I click on "stand by"
to "Turn Off Matrix", the name assigned under "workgroup",
not a domain.
My PC Is also unable to maintain an internet connection
since the unstable user problems began to manifest. My
ISP, (NetZero dial-up), get through all processes, but
disconnects due to "poor connection".
Presently, my drive is not accessable. Diagnostic programs
show no problem with my physical hard drive, a fairly new
60GB Western Digital, with 90% of its resources free and
512MB RAM.
For a few days, my file structure has had trouble deciding
if I was me under my own name or Administrator which I
used to log on with, until I booted my PC one day and my
own name was suddenly once again available, it had
originally been my log on for a previous unaccessable XP
setup elsewhere on my drive. I have files I used to be
able to access and use as long as I booted from the second
XP installation using the "Administrator" log on, then as
strangely as it appeared again, "Administrator" became my
name again at boot up and I can no longer can find the
files or folders from the first setup by which I logged on
using my own name.
I had hoped to repair that original version's registry
items "acl" and HAL which have configuration problems,
preventing me from booting to it. Probably a starting
point to the problems I face now. help or answer to this
is appreciated. Thanks, T.J.
