I am trying to install a HP Officejet product logged on to
the system as administrator. When installing the software
I get error messages. According to HP tech support I am
receiving the errors because the administrator does not
have sufficient access to this key
Hkey_local_machine\software\classes\msxml2.DOM
Document.4.o\clsid. I have tried to chance premissions on
this key to give administrator full control but, I don't
have sufficient access. Can anyone help?

Hi Elizabeth,

<Insert disclaimer here about modifying the registry>

For whatever reason your administrator account does not have rights to this key, the system still has rights. Thus, you want to run regedit.exe as system to give administrator rights the key. To do this simply schedule a interactive command problem to run a few minutes from the current time. In that window run regedit, and you will then be able to change the permissions on the keys.

example (use 24 hour time)
at 15:30 /interactive "cmd.exe"

Thanks,
