Security Configuration and Analysis Tools question

Dear all,

Inside the security template, could I set the file
security auditing only? That means, after I configure the
computer, the permissions would not change and only
audting attributes apply to the file. Thanks!

Yes.

Run mmc.exe, add the Security Templates snapin. Click to expand "Security
Templates", then right-click on c:\windows\security\templates. Choose "New
Template" , name it, and you'll have a blank canvas on which to create a
brand new template.
