However, do not for a moment think that such a setting will keep members of
the administrators group from doing whatever they wish with the file or
folder.

Of course, if you have WinXP Pro, you can encrypt the desired
files/folders.

As a crude work-around, you can place the file in a compressed
folder, and set a password to uncompress the folder to view/access its
contents. Also, some applications allow the user to password-protect
their specific data files. Read the specific application's Help files
for further information on this capability.

How do I secure a file or folder so that only I have access to.

If you *really* don't want others to get access to your files, your
only free choices are:

EFS (Encrypting File System) (XP Pro only -- in which case, make sure
you back up your certificate or you *will* lose your data...)

or the freeware Truecrypt.
