Good morning,

Not sure if this is the correct forum; if not, please direct me to the
correct one. We're offering Word documents on a ftp server for our intranet
and wanted to be able to 'lock' the forms, so they couldn't be changed. Is
there a way to do this?

TIA

Starting premise: Anything that someone can read, can be copied and changed.

Good protection against accidental change is Tools => Protect Document
Protect for forms. You can assign a password. This is easily defeated but
won't be accidentally defeated.

Better protection is to convert to PDF format. This requires additional
software.
