I have XP Home, and I want to secure a folder that is outside of my
Documents and Settings folder, meaning that the "Make this folder private"
option is not available. Specifically, I want to make the contents of this
folder inaccessible to the Guest account. The drive is formatted with NFTS.

When I boot into Safe Mode, I see that right clicking on the folder gives me
a Security tab option. However, I don't see the Guest account mentioned
anywhere here. Can I do my business here? Or is there another way, other
than creating a password protected zip file?

Go to the properties, security tab of the folder and add
your personal account and give it full control(do this
first, if you delete everyone first you wont be able to
use the folder) then delete any other account that might
be there.
