OS - WINxpHome. To organize and simplify my Desktop, I transferred many of my
desktop icons to a Secondary Desktop. That left only a few icons in the main
Desktop mostly programs I often use. After a period, I've collected
additional icons which I want to tranfer to the Secondary desktop. I FORGOT
HOW TO DO IT. Can someone please refresh my memory. I promise to note the
procedure in my file.

It was not a program. It was a procedure I read in the Q & A Computer column
of our local (San Diego) newspaper. I often collect relevant computer
information from the web and from newspaper and magazine articles.

Then describe the procedure or put a link to the newspaper article
(Google for it). It isn't clear what you are calling "Secondary
Desktop". When I think of a second desktop, I think of the completely
separate multiple desktops I can have using the KDE window manager in
Linux. Windows doesn't have this ability built-in so you need to tell
us what you are using.

I think he means another account.

That would make sense, but you are a more patient and nicer person than
I am in even attempting a guess. As far as I'm concerned, it's up to
the OP to come back and explain. I've spent too much time over the
years guessing what a poster means and giving elaborate answers only to
1) find out the poster meant something completely different; or 2) the
poster never even comes back (or at least doesn't post back).

Ah....wish he would have stated that. If this is the case:

Explore All Users - Desktop: icons are stored on each profile desktop.
Ex: Kelly - Desktop: icons are/can be user specific.

If you are using the XP Power Toy Setup:

Try the Help Menu for the Virtual Desktop Manager:
Manage up to 4 desktops from the Windows taskbar. You can choose a different
background for each desktop and run different applications on different
desktops. Right click on the taskbar, click toolbars, and then click
"Desktop Manager."
