I posted this yesterday but again, as with a previous post, it didn't load
in to the server's list of articles. Hope this doesn't result eventually in
a double posting. Is it a chronic prob with teranews?

Request recommendations for a new HDD. Some brands have been criticized
heavily in other NG's, even those previously with a high reputation. So,
your rec's wil be most appreciated.

You had two replies to yesterday's post.

Try the Microsoft server.

Interesting, but of no use to me; those replies and my post are still in
oblivion.

The best reply told you to stick with the brand of drive that you are
replacing. It's been good to you, right?

If you can't find a post then search for it using Google Groups Advanced
search.

Your old posts are showing up so you are double posting.

What do you mean that link is of no use to you? You are using Outlook
Express. If you use the MS server to access these newsgroups directly, you
won't have the problems you're having.

Hope that's not your real email address in the details noted in your post...

Refresher, you said you had a 3GB hard drive in the former post yesterday.

So you won't be wasting your time IF you intend to install XP, is your PC
capable of running XP and a few applications that will work in an XP
environment?

For a pertinent hard drive recommendation, I would need more information
regarding your PC's age and bios date. Am assuming its an ide hard drive.

Your specifics for bios and PC are too general.

You may be limited to 40GB or 137GB usable hard drive space based on your
current data.
